Good morning, Jim, 

 I am writing this email to you to say a massive thank you to you.  Your words of advice were put into practice a couple of weeks ago.  

I was driving home from Melbourne just after my husband had the first of his surgeries and just out of Orbost on the tight bends a moron decided to overtake a truck on a tight corner,  I put your advice into play, look where you want to don’t look anywhere else.  We missed have a major head on by a bee’s whisker, my husband and daughter saw the car next to us, but I just kept calm and focused on the road ahead.  The heart took a bit to calm down afterwards, but we are all safe and well. 

So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your advice and keeping my family in one piece.

I hope you have had a bit of rest after the big weekend.
I really want to say on behalf of myself and Christopher how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to do the basic 4wd course with you. Your calm manner gave us the confidence to ask the most basic questions. That is so important!
We were pretty exhausted after the day and can’t believe how much we learned and the things we did with your guidance! Amazing! It was a fantastic day!!
You’ll be interested to know that our closest RV shop was out of dampeners and soft shackles- I’ll keep looking.
I will certainly spread the word about your course and mention it in the facebook groups I’m part of like Ladies Camping Australia.
Down at Cape Paterson this week and then next week to help out at BlazeAid. Feeling a whole lot better about owning a 4wd now- Big Thank You!

Hi Jim,

 Firstly I would like to thank you for an amazing experience with the 4×4 training, the accommodation & the fantastic food.
Dianne ( Black Spur Inn ) is an angel and thank you to her as well for the hospitality.
Personally, I enjoyed the course thoroughly and learned so so much & my colleagues, like me,  
were also very happy with the training and told me that they will now be able to get the best out of the cars that we have in the service.

Hi Jim,

We just went on our first 4wd trip at Mt Disappointment and had a blast!
As you probably saw, I was utterly terrified of that truck before your course and refused to drive it.
Now I’ve done a bunch of stall starts on hills (practicing rather than necessity), and navigated a bunch of bogs and tight squeezes.
I wouldn’t let Marc drive because I was having fun… and I’m actually pretty good at it (albeit slow).
So thank you for your gentle guidance and encouragement that helped me gain confidence and overcome a big fear.

Many thanks for a most enjoyable and informative day yesterday. Both Mark and I loved it. But now to remember all those tips!!
As requested we are both very keen to join you on the Robe adventure in January 2019 as it sounds like a terrific learning experience.
I will also be in touch with you once I can organize the “boys” for a weekend in and around Narbethong, but it can bit like like herding cats so bear with me.
Also, thanks for the info on the Range Rover 4WD club, sounds good so will try and get there for a meeting. Nice and close.

Judy and I just spent three wonderful days in Robe SA undertaking the Sand Driving course with Jim, Di, Kim, Brett and a great group of participants.The course was very professionally conducted and very informative. I don’t believe that any of the participants would have come away without a huge boost in confidence in themselves and their motor vehicle.
I have previously undertaken the Basic 4×4 course with Jim prior to departing on a 6 months odyssey around Australia.
The skills that I learnt from Jim were invaluable in some of the situations that I found myself in.
I am now hoping to undertake the High Country 4x4course in April. Using the other 2 courses completed as a yardstick this one should be a real buzz.
I would highly recommend Safetrek to anyone that is looking to improve their off road driving skills in a safe, professional and inclusive environment.

Hi Jim,
I am writing to thank you very much for your excellent 4wd training course.
We have just got back home and went on some roads that I never in my wildest dreams would have attempted had I not done your course and gained so much from your wide breadth of knowledge.
This included 30 odd k’s of sand driving, creek crossing as well as over rocks of a foot or so in size, that you could only travel at about 5k’s an hour.
